It is nice to meet you. My name is Christopher Moore, or as others lovingly refer to me, Coach Chris. I was born and raised in Oregon, a typical spoiled brat, Gen X, latchkey kid. One of the most beneficial things my parents instilled is the benefit of “hard work”.
My father had always been self-employed in the irrigation industry and he is where I get my entrepreneurial spirit and resilience.
My mother worked for the phone company; I appreciate her strong will & determination. Though facing setbacks in the 80s, she was always a beacon of light and never sacrificed her values and morals.
I live in Northeast Portland, Oregon with my AMAZING wife Kristie, three children Jayden, Hannah, and Megan, two cats Diego and Boots, and our new addition to the family…Zoe, our Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
I was the one voted most likely to pursue an acting career in high school. So what did I do? Joined the United States Marine Corps. I guess you can say I have always been a “contrarian,” never doing what is expected of me. This has helped me “think outside the box” and achieve good success. I enjoyed working with my father in his family-owned irrigation business, but I didn’t want to dig ditches for 40 years. I wanted to “work smarter, not harder.”
Over 20 years, I have developed three unique businesses. Two in Information Technologies (IT) and the other in commercial finance. As I was approaching 50, chasing a dollar seemed less critical. I wanted to have more of an IMPACT. So, rather than continuing to scale my business, I chose to leave a lucrative IT business and pursue coaching. I desire to help small businesses realize the time and financial freedom that business ownership can provide.
My key to success is VISION. You must know where you are going or will never get there. People perish for a lack of VISION.
